Introducing the Guard Personality Type! Guards are practical, assertive, and sensitive to threats. Being less concerned with abstract ideas, people with this personality type are focused on potential threats in the immediate environment. However, their high Extroversion combined with low Equanimity results in fluctuating moods of big highs and big lows. This is especially true if their personal conventions are challenged.

Guards that are higher in Conscientiousness will be especially drawn to familiar routines and are strongly motivated to plan for the unknown. These Guards become agitated when the unexpected thwarts their plans. Guards lower in Conscientiousness are more impulsive. Rather than planning for the unknown they will react spontaneously to defend their interests.

Agreeable Guards will dedicate themselves to defending others and maintaining social harmony. Their low Equanimity makes them especially alert to threats against their loved ones. On the other hand, Disagreeable Guards will fiercely protect their personal routines and conventions, even if it conflicts with the desires of others.
