Introducing the Rebel Personality Type! Rebels are disagreeable, open to experience, and spontaneous. Rebels prefer to live by their own rules and don’t get bogged down by tradition, social harmony or convention. Rather than planning and organizing, Rebels are impulsive and disorganized. This personality type lives in the moment in accordance to their own values regardless of how others may feel.

Rebels differ in their degree of Extroversion. Extroverted Rebels are more assertive and sensation seeking. With high Openness and low Conscientiousness, Extroverted Rebels are more likely to engage in risky activities. Introverted Rebels are more reserved and less thrill seeking. They will quietly engage in their own individual pursuits in a less confrontational manner.

Rebels also differ in their level of Equanimity. Rebels high in Equanimity will be calm and composed. While this can benefit Rebels when taking risks, it can also make them overlook future consequences. Rebels low in Equanimity are more volatile and experience a rollercoaster of emotions. They are more likely to act impulsively out of fear, anger, or anxiety.
